In the mornings, you just open the fridge and grab a quick lunch to take to work. All this rush only to find NOTHING that seems good enough for your taste. I know you value a big bowl of comfort food pasta above anything else, and I know you are asking for nothing other than GOOD FOOD that is made for REAL LIFE.

Today we are going to have an awesome Greek Soup. This means nothing actually you’ll notice that my bowl of soup is topped with some thick chunks of Swiss cheese and served with my favorite addicting crusty-warm bread. We did sneak a few good foods into this soup such as onions, garlic, carrots, and olive oil. Anyways, according to my gospel, whatever tastes good is healthy. This soup, also, tastes good without the extras, but I assure you it tastes BETTER with them. Right?

Equipment

  • Long-Handled Wooden Spoon
  • Hand Blender
  • Food Processor
  • Soup Ladle
  • Cheese Grater

Ingredients

  • 4 Large Eggs
  • 6 Cup Sifted All Purpose Flour
  • 2 Cup Roasted Macadamia
  • 1/3 Cup Olive Oil
  • 2 Cup Almonds

The first step to making this soup is to make the sauce. You'll need to whisk two eggs with ½ cup of lemon. While you’re whisking with one hand, add two ladles of the hot chicken broth from your soup. This step is really tricky and if you think you may mess it up, ask someone to help you pour in the broth, while you do the whisking. Then bring the soup to a rolling boil and add the rice. Season with kosher salt and pepper, as much as you like, depending on your taste.

To start off, you need a model to base your work on. Search on the web for whatever flowers you like and take a good look at them. You want to learn exactly how the thing is shaped, all the nooks and crannies, so to speak. Then, you need to start preparing parts for assembly. Try to dissect the image in your mind and see what parts it can be broken down into. Based on that model that you just made with your brilliant brain, begin drawing shapes on your fabric.

To store the leftover soup, first make sure it is cool. You can refrigerate it for up to 3 days. As this soup is cream-free, you can also freeze it. Whether you freeze a large amount or in small servings, make sure to leave enough room the freezer containers as the soup will expand.

For reuse, reheat on the stove over medium heat. It would be good if you add a little bit of broth. Heat until warmed enough. Make sure to stir regularly. Your family will enjoy this Greek soup for a simple dinner. You can also serve this comforting soup as a warm starter to a special Greek feast! Browse our Greek Recipes for more delightful recipes. Ciao!

That’s it! This is the soup. That EASY! For the veggies, you require a bit of front-end chopping, but I’d guess it’ll take you 30-45 minutes to cut everything up for the crockpot. In return, I was gifted with 8 soup servings of this nutritious wonderfood. Cheers to all of you enjoying as many glowing bowls of Greek soup as you like in all the days to come.
